Ghost 2 Immobiliser

The Autowatch Ghost 2 Immobiliser is the original CAN bus aftermarket immobiliser. It needs to be installed by an approved installer, and its unique design gives you vehicle security like nothing else on the market. Ghost 2 immobilisers are programmed to overcome common carjacking methods including relay attacks, key cloning, key hacking, and key theft. The Ghost is a small device that is installed inside your vehicle in an undetectable location in the car.

A ghost immobiliser fitter is usually happy to install at an agreed location of your choice, whether at your home, place of work or even car dealership. It is supplied with a 3-year warranty as standard and can be transferred between different cars as you change vehicle for a small fee – so you will have it for life with no real ongoing cost.

How does the Ghost Immobiliser Work?

The Ghost 2 immobiliser works by creating a special pin code that can be up to 20 characters in the length. The pin code is made up of an unlimited number of possible actions within the interior of the car such as the centre console, doors, steering wheel etc. In order for the vehicle engine to start, the pin code needs to be entered correctly. This means that even if thieves steal your keys, they will not be going anywhere as they don’t know the sequence. Different modes can be entered in for your convenience and to protect the code such as service/valet mode if you need to have mechanical work done. The immobiliser then kicks back in after a couple of miles is driven in the car.
